Website terms of use

This is a hobby site built and maintained by a private individual with no official connection to any of the railways and companies mentioned in this website. The information and photos in this website are intended for personal enjoyment and to further the body of knowledge in the hobby. Are you working on a book, magazine/web article or YouTube video? Or perhaps you are a model railroad company or individual who wants to produce models or parts using the information in this website? Regardless of what you are working on I would likely love to help, just reach out and ask me first!

Donations

I pay for this website out-of-pocket as I am passionate about our hobby and believe in sharing photos and information for the benefit of all. I've proudly operated this website at no charge and totally free of annoying ads and spyware since the very beginning. At one time they were reasonable but hosting price increases have gotten a bit crazy without any mechanism to recover some of those costs. Please contact me if you're in a position to provide any donations to help defray hosting costs. Thank you for your support.

Website visitor count stats

This website was originally created on September 26, 1998 and for the first few years was all about the CP Rail SD40-2. VIA F40PH-2Ds increasingly became the primary subject starting in the mid-2000s. The site has existed on a few different domains and has been hosted on railbus.ca since May 2012. Visitor count data from 1998-2016 was normalized from various manual hit counters while data from 2017-present is from my current host provider database reporting panel. The frequency of website updates has always mirrored the ups and downs of life.
